The Senior Technical Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process of technical products and services, ensuring that all materials and services required for the company's operations are acquired efficiently, economically, and within the required quality standards.

The procurement team aids in cost savings, operational efficiency, supplier management, and risk mitigation among other things. We work with different procurement tools like M3, Basware, SimDojo, and others to leverage value across the organization.

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers of technical materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers.
  • Issue purchase orders and track the status of deliveries.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Conduct audits and performance evaluations of suppliers.
  • Continuously seek new suppliers and alternatives to optimize costs and improve the quality of purchased products/services
  • Interpret technical specifications and ensure that materials and services meet the necessary requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure the technical adequacy of purchased products.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses to determine the best purchasing options.
  • Manage documentation related to procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators of the purchasing department.

Requisitos

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related fields.
  • Good negotiation and supplier relationship management skills (including advanced contract terms knowledge i.e. payment terms, guarantees, insurances, liabilities etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical procurement or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with technical specifications of products and services.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement management tools.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
